Alcor rose to the incredible challenge of installing its modular grandstands to create a theater at the Grand Palais to host the play ‘Singin’ in the Rain’. During its closure for renovation, the Théâtre du Chatelet took over the nave of the Grand Palais for 45 performances.

To create this ephemeral theater under the largest glass roof in Europe, the installation of the stands required ingenuity and impeccable expertise given the timing and specificity of the location. The service included the following features:

  • Grandstand with angled sections for perfect adaptation to the site
  • 2404 seats in 41 rows across 3 zones (1762 seats + 402 VIP seats with wider spacing + 240 VIP seats with foldable seats)

  • Complete dressing of the grandstand with black brushed cotton and red carpeting
  • Seat covers for all seats
  • Integration of a control room area
  • Numbering and provision of labels
  • Transparent guardrails for improved visibility
  • Access and exits with 6 vomitories and 2 ramps for disabled access
