DEMOUNTABLE GRANDSTAND WITH 3,500 SEATS AT THE PALACE OF VERSAILLES

Versailles

Alcor Equipment achieved a technical feat by installing a majestic demountable grandstand with 3,500 seats across 41 rows.

This modular grandstand enabled the audience to attend performances of Ravel’s Bolero performed by the Béjart Ballet Lausanne.

Located in the gardens of the Orangery at the Palace of Versailles, this modular grandstand was constructed while navigating around the topiaries (shrubs), box hedges, and borders, all of which are classified.

The Alcor Equipment modular grandstand was also erected around 2 cypress trees, their height exceeding that of the grandstand. All operations involving unloading, transferring equipment, using carts, and assembly were carried out with exceptional care due to the site’s specific conditions.

The experience gained by Alcor Equipment in numerous installations of modular grandstands in classified sites proved to be a major asset.
